At Dunkstar, every athletic surface is built with precision to meet your specific needs. Because of the custom nature of our products, we’ve crafted this policy to balance our commitment to quality with a fair process for changes or returns.

Returns & Exchanges

Custom-Manufactured Court Surfaces

All Dunkstar court surfacing is custom-manufactured to the size, colors, and specifications requested by you, our customer. As such, custom orders are not eligible for return or exchange.

If you feel that your return is necessitated by a product defect or incorrect product sent, please contact our customer care team directly at: [email protected] or fill out a claim via our website.

If you’re unsure whether a product is right for your application, please reach out before installation — we’re happy to help you make the best decision for your space.

Exceptions – Stocked Products

Select stocked items (those without color-specific dye lot requirements such as premade Court Kits) may be eligible for return:

  • Must be returned within 30 days of purchase
  • Subject to a 15% restocking fee
  • Product must be unmodified (painted), unused, uninstalled, and in new condition, with original packaging
  • Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility
  • Returns are not accepted after 30 days

Components, Underlayment & Accessories

Non-tile items such as accessories, underlayment, or components may be returned under the following conditions:

  • Product must be unused, uninstalled, and in new condition
  • Product must be returned in original packaging.
  • Must be returned within 30 days of purchase
  • Subject to a 15% restocking fee
  • Customer is responsible for return shipping costs
  • Returns after 30 days cannot be accepted

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return or exchange under any circumstances:

  • Custom color runs
  • Custom logos or branded tiles
  • Painted-line courts
  • Any flooring that has been installed, used, or is not in new condition
  • Clearance or final sale products

How to Make a Return

To initiate a return, please visit our website or contact our team directly to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA).

  • Returns must have a valid RMA to be processed
  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 10 – 14 business days of receiving the returned items
  • Returns received without an RMA may result in significant processing delays

Order Cancellations

Because Dunkstar surfaces are built to order, cancellation policies vary based on the status and type of your order:

  • Custom Orders:
    Any cancellation of a completed custom-manufactured order may result in forfeiture of any deposit or amount paid to date, and, in addition, is subject to a 15% restocking fee based on the total product cost
  • Stocked Products:
    Orders for stocked items may be canceled prior to shipment without penalty. Once shipped, the standard return policy (above)

Important Note About Delivery

To ensure the best experience, we strongly recommend inspecting your shipment immediately upon delivery. This gives you the best opportunity to take advantage of any eligible return window and report any damage or issues promptly.
